My First RDA

Hey, Everyone!

Last week, I got my first RDA from vapes.com. It’s the Freakshow RDA atomizer by Wotofo.

It’s a solidly-built RDA with three posts and adjustable bottom airflow. It’s pretty nice. Gotta love that cute skelly on the side (made all the better by my glow-in-the-dark skull drip tip).

I’d always used tanks before, so this was quite a new experience for me. And I’d like to give a shoutout to TJ over at Caught the Vapors for taking the time to train me how to build, and for letting me use his tools as I learned. Continue reading “My First RDA”

Spotlight On: My Freedom Smokes

Hey, Everyone!

Recently, I took an interest in an online vape shop called My Freedom Smokes over at myfreedomsmokes.com. The name really caught my eye… My FREEDOM Smokes. That really registered with me.

Also, the fact that My Freedom Smokes was founded in 2008, whereas most of the shops here in the United States were founded much later, also intrigued me. I’m actually trying to get ahold of their founder, Chris Yelton, in order to interview him, because, clearly, he had a lot of foresight when he created MFS and I’d love to hear his story (so if any of you know how to get through to him, let me know — thus far my e-mails to their various addresses online about this have gone unanswered).

I was also very interested in the fact that they not only sell the usual brands — Smok, Joytech, Aspire, etc. — but they create their OWN products as well… I thought that was really nifty, and it inspired me to get some of their “premiere” products in order to do a “Spotlight” review on their stuff. DollHandcheck

Bring Back #StupidHandcheck!

Twitter has been filled with anger and political turmoil for a while now. But, for a brief time last year, vapers united to lighten up their followers’ feeds with the hashtag #StupidHandcheck.

The idea was simple: Post your hand holding your mod (as you would with a traditional “handcheck”), and then include something you clearly will NOT be vaping. The more ridiculous, the better!

I truly enjoyed this Twitter hashtag and feel it came and went much too quickly.

I’d personally LOVE it if #StupidHandcheck became a hashtag staple for vapers both on Twitter and Instagram.

I follow all sorts of people on Twitter, but the vapers almost always have the funniest, most positive, feeds. They’re a fun-loving bunch of folks! And this was one hashtag where that fun-loving spirit really shone.

After scrolling through endless negativity, it was great to have a break to just chuckle at something purposely stupid. It really lifted my spirits every time a #StupidHandcheck was posted.

Don’t know what I’m talking about? Missed out on the fun? Don’t worry. I screencapped and saved some of my favorites as they were going up last month. Check ’em out: Continue reading “Bring Back #StupidHandcheck!”

Vaping Slang from A to Z

Hey, Everyone!

A few of you have asked me what vaping even is.

Basically, you’re “smoking” flavored steam with a vape device. You can vape with nicotine or without, but, even with, it’s better than actually smoking because it doesn’t have all the other crap in it that “real” cigarettes have (formaldehyde, rat poison, etc.).

Long story short: I use vaping to literally blow off steam when I’m stressed.

But here are some other terms you might want to know if you decide to get into vaping as a hobby/lifestyle: Continue reading “Vaping Slang from A to Z”

Vape Nation: Your Freedom is at Risk!

Hi, Everyone!

There’s a BIG problem in the vaping world, and I’m finally prepared to talk about it.

Certain groups of individuals against fun and freedom are trying to take away our right to vape. This has been an issue for a while now, and it’s only growing.

Vaping Restrictions on a Government Level

Earlier this year, the FDA finalized their plan to put vaping under their authority. In addition to restricting sales to minors (which most states did on their own anyway), each new vape product now has to go through the FDA’s strict approval process.

This process is long and difficult. Not to mention EACH product needs a separate application — an application that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars (sometimes millions!).

Basically, the FDA is now regulating vaping products as they would tobacco products — even though vape juices contain ZERO tobacco in them. In fact, many new vape juices don’t even use nicotine derived from tobacco AT ALL, instead opting to get their nicotine from eggplants, potatoes, or synthetic properties.

Due to the high prices demanded by the FDA, fewer and fewer new vaping products are hitting the market, and many small business owners have faded away into bankruptcy.

Not only does this mean that we have fewer innovations in the vaping world (no fun!), but these policies could also slow the decline of traditional cigarette usage. To put it simply: If vaping products aren’t available as harm reduction devices, smokers looking to quit can’t buy or use them! Continue reading “Vape Nation: Your Freedom is at Risk!”

Ferrum City Cereal Monster

Ferrum City Liquid: Cereal Monster Line – 3 Juices

Hello, everyone. I hope that you guys and gals had a killer New Year! I have been crazy busy with work and the holidays. I have good news — you are going to see plenty more reviews popping up moving forward!

I recently stumbled across a new juice line from Ferrum City Liquid called the “Cereal Monster” line. There are three flavors available, and I KNEW that I had to get my hands on all three when  I spotted them over at Premium Vape Supply.

The flavors are Choculate, Scary Berry, and Blooberry. If you haven’t figured it out yet, they’re based on the popular “monster cereals”  Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry.  But… do they live up to our favorite childhood (and probably adulthood 😉 ) cereals? Let’s find out!
